1. Are you certified?

Yes. I am a certified Semi-Permanent Makeup Artist.
2. What is Powder Brows?
Instead of creating hair-like strokes eyebrow like Microblading, this technique is natural shading a gradient effect from the beginning of the brow to the end starting from light to dark.

3. Does it hurt?

Everyone tolerates pain differently. Topical anesthetic is applied before and during treatment to ensure comfort. Some clients naturally feel one brow more sore than the other.
4. Is it safe?

Yes! All supplies are disposable and pigments are vegan friendly.

5. Will I be swollen?

Again, everyone is different. Some clients slightly swell up, while others don't. More than likely you will get red, this lasts about one day.

6. Will I need a touchup?

Yes, most likely. Within a week of your first treatment the color will fade significantly and over the next 4-6 wks can continue to fade up to 50%. This is a positive occurrence as it allows you time to get comfortable with your shape and color. After this, your touch-up is planned and we can discuss any possible changes.

7. How often do I need a touchup?

To keep your brow fresh, I recommend yearly touch ups.

8.How long does it last?

It will last as long as its maintained. How long your brows last will vary on your skin type, by how well your skin takes the pigment during the session and how dark you are willing to go. After a touchup, brows are expected to last 1-5 years depending on shade of choice you prefer, skin retention, time in sun, and daily skin routines.

9. If this is semi-permanent, why do I need a touchup?

The color is primarily implanted in the facial area. This area tends to have more fluid circulation that other parts of the body. Your face sees the most wear of the rest of your body such as, time in the sun, facial products, skin types, etc. All these things cause permanent makeup to fade.

10. How long does it take?

THIS IS NOT A RUSHED PROCEDURE! The procedure takes roughly about 2.5-3 hours, sometimes more or less. Please allow a solid 3 hours for your appointment.

11. How long does healing take?

Healing time varies per person. Usually, its takes 7-14 days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens, The pigment takes some time to settle into the skin.

12. What's the process like?

Powder Brows is a two-step treatment, which consists of an initial and a 4-6 week touch up. After taking your before photo, I will draw your brow design in pencil so you can get an idea of your new brows. (please remember, nobody's perfect and our faces are not completely symmetrical, be realistic w your expectations. There's NO point in trying to make your brows match a photo) Once we agree, (ultimately, it is your decision-but as the professional I will voice my opinion) I will shape your brows then well decide on color. After that, a topical anesthetic will be applied. Once you are numb (about 20-25 minutes) the pigment is deposited. During healing, its normal to experience pigment loss, this is why we need a touchup.

13. What are my restrictions after treatment?

Keep skin CLEAN and DRY! That means NO swimming, sweating, NO tanning, prolonged sun exposure, NO picking, peeling, scratching, or rubbing your brows, this will result in color loss and scarring. You may wash your face and hair once they are healed.

14. How do I extend the life of my new brows?

Your brows will last longer, if you apply sunblock often and avoid abrasive facial treatments in the brow area.

15. How will you choose my color?

I will go off your skin tone/features, and your natural brow hair.'

16. Do you have to shave off my natural eyebrows?

No. This is made to retain and incorporate your natural hair into the design.

17. Can you guarantee your work?

Unfortunately, I can't. How the skin will react is totally different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. Skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products, etc. all play a role in your results, which is why it is important to know that more than one touchup may be required. I always make sure that your face is important to me and I will act in accordance with experience and my knowledge to give you my all. But there are no guarantees in this industry. Please think long and hard before you decide.

18. What if I don't like it?

Although Powder Brows is considered semi-permanent, the procedure does allow flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. However, I will work very close with you to make sure your completely happy with the proposed design. I will allow you to have as mush control as possible, so there's very little room for error. If you do not like the decision you made, the touch up can be cancelled and the pigmented area naturally fades over time.
